Mittenwald violin circa 1890
A good German violin from the Mittenwald region, Stamped A S below the neck button on the back. The wood is from the Bavarian alps and is great tone wood. This violin has a new Ebony fingerboard, new rosewood pegs and is expertly set up with Helicore strings and adjustable tailpiece. The tone is very powerful, but also of quality with subtle overtones. A real pleasure to play. In perfect original condition.
